Domestic Geek

Man, the advertising department where Marcus works is getting all new G4s. There was a possibility they were going to sell off the old G3s to employees. I really wanted one. I guess they've decided against that and are going to figure out some other way to utilize them. Pooh.

OMG, CollegeAmerica has a new job placement person. She just left me a voicemail on my phone. Can this person actually assist me in finding a new job? I doubt it. I wonder why Kirsten left. Maybe because she can't find anybody jobs? That the only successful placements on the placement board were for people moving up in companies they already worked for? That several people on that board were listed more than once to make it look like people were actually finding jobs? That many of those placements were for a company that went under a year ago? That she had no idea exactly what kind of jobs people coming out of that school were actually qualified for? I know that sounds harsh, but dang it. Don't send my resume to a company saying they need a system administrator extremely qualifed in Novell, etc. when the school doesn't even offer such classes. I really need to get cracking on the job search, again. I haven't been trying much here. I'm thinking I'm going to have to take a couple of days off from work and find something.

I swear I can be such a dumbass. I bought new shoelaces yesterday at WalMart. I absolutely hate the ones that came with my shoes as they're way too long and don't stay tied. So, I either threw them away after I emptied the bags or they never made it into my shopping bags at the store. While at the grocery store today I got another pair and, dang it, I tried to throw them away again! That's what happens when you try to function on 8 hours of sleep over two days.
